Motril Sport Academy

This place is a scam..all they care about is money..it’s nothing more than a money grab. They don’t provide rides, blankets, towels, soap, you have to walk everywhere, and you get fined 10€ for leaving a toothbrush or something in the cubbies.

The Worst Experience of My Life. As soon as my friend and I arrived from Los Angeles to the Motril Residency in October of 2025 we were honestly jetlagged and my friend and i got there a day earlier than expected due to our Flight. This seemed to bother Diego Sanchez(The Coach of the Academy) one of the worst coaches I've ever had to deal with in my professional career. He was not welcoming at all, extremely rude and arrogant right off the bat when I had told the CEO of the Agency that my flight was arriving one day ahead before everyone got there and he said that it was okay and gave me the greenlight to show up either way. The Staff was very arrogant & rude as well as some of the players there dont even greet and are super cocky. My friend and I had to clean up our room for others that were leaving a mess in our dorm and the maids would blame it on us saying that we weren't keeping our dorm clean which was bullshit. We had to walk everywhere, arrived tired to trainings sweating due to this, they lied about transportation and having Scouts there watching for new players, it was all false advertisement and I thought i was gonna try-out for a 3rd division team. It turns out that it was a 5th division team that i was trying out for and at night there was No Water since the younger guys would steal my food and would finish the waters for the newcomers to be left with NO WATER and at times my buddy and I would have to be dehydrated all night and i would have to buy Water at a Grocery Store before 10pm since it's a town where they close everything by 10pm. Also, I got No Pillows or Towels throughout my 12 days there which is unacceptable, the shower from my dorm did not get fixed until the 4th day, the toilet would stink 24/7(broken pipeline or other issue) that was never fixed after I insisted several times to get these things fixed. The maids are very nosy and they would get players into trouble making me and my friend clean more than what we should of at the dorm when it's their job to do the cleaning. I was one of the best players from the 1st training and 1st game and I got benched because of my age. They were racist and discriminatory towards my friend and I for no reason since they only like White/European players not Latinos from USA. Diego does not know how to coach at all and I told him I am a CAM/Winger from the 1st day and he would play me as a Forward on purpose to piss me off. The academy was always a bad vibe and people would always argue and get in our dorms out of nowhere with almost no privacy or personal space for my friend and I. I could sue this academy if i really wanted to but whoever is reading this do not go to this academy, it is a total SCAM/Money Grab. I Almost missed my flight on my way back to LAX because The coach said that my group had to leave 3 hours before than scheduled and told us last minute, i had to rush to pack my bags for this matter to hop on their bus towards the airport because they had to fix the vans supposedly the same day. I had to take 3 buses in total to get from Málaga Airport to Motril Academy before arriving to the academy. They give favoritism to players that cant even pass the ball or control the ball at all when my friend and i are very talented. The food was trash, the Chefs gave me an attitude and would serve us chicken and rice almost daily and it did not taste good at all. I worked my ass off on the trainings and scored and juked everyone. When it came to playing games i was on the bench cause of my age. Overall it was a Nightmare and I would not recommend this to anybody, they think they killed my dream but I'm heading to Barcelona in May 2026 to tryout for 2nd Division Teams that actually matter in Spain with Real Scouts not no bullshit ass team. I would give this place ZERO STARS if I could, they were extremely rude and the Coach(Diego) has no idea how to coach when it comes to tactics and plays of the game in World Football. Terrible Experience. They should all be fired!!!! 👎👎👎
